On November 14, 2008 mayoralty Manta has opened its doors to tell the representatives of the neighboring mayoralty about how useful are information technologies in the work of local authorities. "If before we calculate the salary in 5 days, now do in one day, it is much easier the accounting work is considerably more effective", chief-accountant Zinaida Fortu.

The Open Day was held with financial supporting of Directorate of Democratic Institutions of the Council of Europe and the Royal Embassy of Norway in Romania, and providing logistical by Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS "Viitorul"). The event is a key component of Best Practice Programme for Local Authorities.
